Judit Gaspar

Judit was born and raised in a small Hungarian town, called Szombathely. She started her competitive dance career at 14 years old by joining the local dance club "Savaria". There she was a member of the Latin Formation Team for 12 years, and with that contributed to the team’s rise to the top. Savaria was the undefeated Hungarian Latin Champion team for all this time, plus placed sixth in the European Championships, and fifth in the World Formation Dance Championships.

Individually Judit competed as an amateur ten-dancer for the first six years of her dance career, and then chose to mainly concentrate mainly on Standard. This was a rewarding decision, since she became a regular Hungarian finalist.

In 1997 Judit decided to move to the United States and join the Fred Astaire team, which meant to she now had to compete as a professional.

Judit had a successful partnership dancinged with Richard Hutton from Ireland for 2 years. During this time they made several finals here on the East coast. One of their most outstanding results was a first place in the Rising Star Standard division at the Dance Sport Competition, Montreal. In the same competition they placed fourth in the Open Standard Competition.

Judit started to work as a teacher in our Norwood location, and can boast numerous Top Teacher awards to illustrate her great popularity. Since January 2000 she has been managing our Boston studio.

Her Judits original career was international business and she also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management.

In 2003 Judit took an ISTD (Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing) Licentiate exam in International Ballroom and passed as highly commended.
